A disability should not stop you fulfilling your potential; you just need the right environment

Get active and develop personal skills with our Realising Potential programme for people with physical and learning disabilities.

Aimed at children and adults with either physical or learning disabilities, the programme includes:

The programme lasts 10-weeks/12-weeks with one session per week.

A social evening at The Nest with indoor and outdoor activities.

Taking place in the Engage Space, participants will have access to Table Tennis, Table Football, Mini Bowling, Pool and Game Consoles.

Depending on the weather, participants will also have supervised access to The Nest’s 3G pitch for football and other activities.

Participant contribution is £3, with all surplus expenses subsidised by the Community Sports Foundation’s fundraised income, grants or sponsorship.

The Realising Potential Ambassador Scheme is a strand of the programme, specifically aimed at 16–25-year-olds. Through weekly workshops, our participants will:

  • Gain valuable life and independent living skills
  • Become work ready
  • Meet people and make new friends
  • Get involved in volunteering and social action projects
