Bradley Waterman to perform during half-time at annual celebrity football match

Local musician Bradley Waterman will headline the entertainment package for the Community Sports Foundation’s annual charity football match, Jamie’s Game.

The 19-year-old singer, who starred on this year’s The Voice (BBC), impressed his celebrity mentors Paloma Faith and Boy George with his ‘huge likeability’ and ‘awesome, soulful voice’.

Bradley will perform a number of popular covers to the crowd at half-time.

Joining Bradley will be a number of local dance and entertainment acts including the 300-person Rock Choir, KTRoo and the Angel Baton Twirlers.

The Foundation’s Disability Dance troupe, who are one of the groups who benefit from the funds raised for the charity match, will also be showing off their routines to the crowd at half-time.

Emma Fletcher, CSF Charity Fundraiser Officer, said: “We’re delighted to have Bradley Waterman headlining our entertainment bill. Jamie’s Game isn’t just about the match, it’s about the whole day. As a young, talented local singer – who has nationwide appeal after his run on The Voice – he is the perfect fit for Jamie’s Game.

“We’re very grateful to him for agreeing to give up his time to play and we’re confident that he’ll be a big hit with the crowd.”

This year’s celebrity lineup includes the likes of Calum Best, YouTubers Jim Chapman & Marcus Butler, CBB’s James Hill and X-men actor Ben Hardy, as well as a number of former Norwich City stars.

Over £200,000 has been raised from the annual match since it debuted in 2013, and it is run in partnership with former Canary Darren Eadie’s events and auction company, Sellebrity.

Tickets and more information about the game can be found on the official Jamie’s Game website here.
