Chaplin Farrant have officially come on board as a Foundation partner, sponsoring Norwich City’s Cerebral Palsy Football Team

The Community Sports Foundation is delighted to announce that Chaplin Farrant have officially come on board as a Foundation partner, sponsoring Norwich City’s Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team.

As a multi-disciplinary architectural practice with offices in Norwich, Cambridge and York, The Foundation’s relationship with Chaplin Farrant dates to 2004 when the practice was instrumental  in the development of Carrow Park, the Foundation’s first purpose-built venue adjacent the stadium.

Since then, Chaplin Farrant has been an avid supporter of the Foundation’s expansion. With operations out growing Carrow Park, they played a pivotal role in the search for a new site and in 2016, the Foundation successfully secured the former Anglian Windows Sports & Social Club. With the site secured Chaplin Farrant, alongside Richard Utting Associates, led in the development of the site to build the Foundation’s new community hub, The Nest.

With development at The Nest an ongoing reality the Foundation is enormously proud of this continued relationship, and securing Chaplin Farrant’s support for the CP Football Team further underlines the shared commitment to making sport accessible for all.

Norwich City’s CP Football Team competes at the highest level of the sport in the CP National League, with many of its players progressing through the Foundation’s pan-disability Soccer Skill Centres held every Tuesday at The Nest. The 2023/24 season marked the team’s most successful campaign to date culminating in an inspiring FA Disability Cup Final victory.

Director of Strategy & Development for the Foundation, Jackie Thornton, said:

“Chaplin Farrant has been an incredible partner throughout our journey, from the early days at Carrow Park to the growth of The Nest. Their commitment to our vision has been unwavering, and we are thrilled to have their support for our Cerebral Palsy Football Team. This support will help us continue to provide opportunities for players to progress and succeed at the highest level.”

Mark Camidge, Director at Chaplin Farrant, added:

“We are immensely proud of our partnership with the Community Sports Foundation and the impact it has had over the years. Supporting the Cerebral Palsy Football Team is a natural next step for us, and we look forward to seeing the team build on their incredible achievements.”
