Children at the Foundation’s Easter Soccer Schools at The Nest received a special surprise last week when their session was visited by Norwich City FC first-team players, Teemu Pukki and Dimitris Giannoulis and Norwich City Women’s Summer Ward.
The City duo surprised the children, sneaking onto the pitch as they sat, eagerly listening to their coach’s instructions. To their shock and delight, when they turned around they were met with the smiles of two of their footballing heroes.
Teemu and Dimi then joined in with the session, helping with officiating the games and occasionally lending some of their football skills as the children enjoyed their seven-a-side fixtures.
The session concluded with a series of photographs and shirt signings after the Soccer Schools certificates and seasonal Easter eggs were given out to the Girls’ Soccer Schoolers!
Thousands of children aged 5-11 enjoy the Foundation’s Soccer Schools and kids’ courses across Norfolk, each year.

On the Buzzer, City! Quiz is our hugely popular annual quiz held at Norwich City Football Club, and it returns on the 7th November! Rounds typically include sport, history, film & TV and more, with special guest questions from Norwich City players and legends.
We have Soccer Schools running at venues across Norfolk & Suffolk, and whether participants are new to football, or are already a budding Canary superstar, the Soccer Schools programme has been put together to provide a fun, holiday activity at an affordable price.
