Soccer Schools Surprise in Wymondham!

Children at the Foundation’s half-term Soccer Schools in Wymondham received a special surprise last week, when their session was visited by Norwich City FC first-team players, Todd Cantwell and Liam Gibbs.

The City duo surprised the children, sneaking onto the pitch as they received a coach’s demonstration of their next skill session.

Todd and Liam then put their talents on display, taking on the Soccer Schoolers in a lively crossbar challenge.

Following the challenge, the youngsters took part in small-sided games before being given the opportunity to ask the players questions, such as their most memorable Norwich City moments and their favourite players growing up, to name a few.

The session concluded with a series of photographs and shirt signings, but not before Todd hosted a spontaneous game of ‘first-one-to-tackle-me-wins-a-signed-pair-of-boots!’ – staying true to his word for the lucky winner.

Thousands of children aged 5-11 enjoy the Foundation’s Pymm & Co Soccer Schools and kids’ courses across Norfolk, each year.  To find out more, visit communitysportsfoundation.org.uk.
