Football and Education students receive results
Jack, Jak and Harry were part of the Community Sports Foundation’s 2023/24 Football and Education cohort, which saw a total of 71 fulfil their potential on the programme. But the three graduates’ journeys didn’t just start with the F&E programme – they’ve been Foundation mainstays from some of our earliest programmes for youngsters.
All three graduates were part of the Development Centre and Advanced Development Centres, as well as taking part in Soccer Schools at a younger age. Jack Cobbald and Harry Sparrow were both on our Mini Kickers programme for U6s, with Harry also taking part in HAF and Residential stays.
This past academic year was one of the Foundation’s most successful for its students, with high grades attained and a high volume of students progressing on to higher education or directly into employment. Below is a snapshot of some of the results attained by the group.
- 30% of students achieved a distinction* grade or higher
- 70% of students achieved a distinction grade or higher
- 100% of the group achieved success
- 22% of the cohort went directly into employment following their graduation
- 32% accepted to university
- 100% accepted into first choice university
- 4% travelled abroad progressing onto a USA scholarship
Harry, Jack and Jak all achieved the highest possible grades of D* D* D* in their three respective subjects.
Harry would go on to be recognised with a Norfolk Diamond award and has gone on to study at University of East Anglia where he aspires to become a PE Teacher.
Jack Cobbold is studying at Birmingham University, whilst Jak Reynolds is pursuing a career in Finance.
