Realising Potential participants enjoy employability event

Last week our Realising Potential group enjoyed an employability event at Carrow Park.

The event, which was organised by programme lead, Ellie Dickinson and a representative from Norfolk County Council, brought together disability-confident employers to speak to the group about what they do for work, their personal journeys into employment.

Participants from the Assist Trust were also in attendance in what was a collaborative session with Realising Potential.

PLPFA Project Officer, Ellie stated:

“It was a really successful day, with seven employers joining us to speak, from a range of organisations such as Osiris (IT), Oak Circus, New-U (retail) & Norfolk Industries.

“It has inspired some of our participants to want to get involved in opportunities they had no idea about and will hopefully encourage them to be brave, take risks and go on to reach their full potential.”

Our Realising Potential programme is aimed at children and adults with either physical or learning disabilities, helping them to get active and develop their personal skills.

It is free of charge thanks to support from Norfolk Hire Ltd and the Professional Footballers’ Association.
