Half Term Recap!
Half term is often a time to have a breather and take a moment to enjoy no school runs, less frantic mornings, and some much-needed rest for the youngsters.
But for the Foundation – half term is the time to ramp it up a gear!
Here are some of the amazing things we did during a hectic half term period:
Disability
Realising Potential hosted a multi-sports holiday camp which saw 22 participants enjoy rounders, football, table tennis, indoor cricket and had the use of the Challenge Woods at The Nest!
Our Powerchair Football team were back in action, playing four games over half-term weekend. They beat Nottingham Forest 7-1 and followed this up by beating top-of-the-table Manchester Utd 1-0.
On the Sunday they lost 2-1 to WBA Dudley and then drew 0-0 with Sale PFC.
The Cerebral Palsy Football team were also in action winning one game 3-1 against CPNW, but sadly followed this with their first loss of the season, to NEY, with the score ending 3-2.
Despite the loss, the results leaves the side just three points behind league-leaders NEY with two games in hand. Our final three fixtures of the season are on March 18, where we play WBA, Derby and CPNW, where two victories would see the league title secured!
Throughout half term our ‘Kicks in the Park’ was facilitated across Norwich & Yarmouth.
Kicks in the Park is a group of Kicks participants looking to raise money for the Foundation through their own action and initiative.
They had Fundraising and Events Manager, Emma Fletcher-Dungay along as a guest speaker to talk to participants about fundraising, her experience and how to facilitate a successful and enjoyable fundraising event.
Programme leads Rupert and Jason were nicked by local Police at Jenny Lind Park where they had a partnership event with Hopton offering workshops to their young people ranging from sustainability to combatting knife crime.

Soccer Schools
Over half term we hosted 16 Soccer Schools, one of which was a Girls ONLY Soccer School.
The Nest saw over 75 children participating each day!
Overall, the Soccer Schools team hosted 581 participants across an array of Norfolk venues including The Nest, Wymondham, Gorleston, Aylsham, Carrow Park, Dereham and North Walsham.
