Join Stuart Webber and Spurs' Head of Academy Dean Rastrick for our first FC Live session of 2021
We’re delighted to welcome Tottenham Hotspur’s Head of Academy Dean Rastrick and Stuart Webber, Norwich City FC’s Sporting Director, as the special guests for our first FC Live session of 2021.
Taking place online on Wednesday 27th January (7.30pm, via Zoom), the session will focus on ‘Developing Players’, and is completely free.
Dean with fellow Academy coaches Chris Powell and Ryan Mason
Dean Rastrick currently heads up the youth setup at Spurs, working alongside the likes of Ryan Mason and Chris Powell, to develop the next generation of talent.
He possesses over a decade of experience in developing young players at the North London side having joined in July 2010. During his time there, Academy products have included the likes of Harry Kane, Harry Winks, and current City loanee Oliver Skipp. He has worked in youth player development for more than 20 years in total, having previously held senior Academy positions at Luton Town, Derby County and Norwich City (2006-10).
In the presentation, Dean will cover how he and his team work to develop players across a range of areas, how this can be adapted for grassroots coaches, and the process of transitioning players from grassroots into the academy and then into a first team environment.
Needing no introduction, City’s Sporting Director (and FC Live regular) Stuart Webber will provide the Canaries’ perspective, and more on how the club has benefited from its relationship with Tottenham’s youth set-up.
The Community Sports Foundation’s free coach development series FC Live aims to support grassroots coaches within Norfolk by giving them a ‘live’ insight into current relevant topics.
Places for this event are free, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Book now
