Last Wednesday saw the return of FC Live

FC Live returned for the 2022/23 season with first team Goalkeeping coach Ed Wootten hosting a session at The Nest.

Over 100 fans were in attendance as goalkeepers ranging from Norwich City U15s to U21s to the Women’s Team, put their skills on display in a live demonstration of a typical goalkeepers training session.

With Ed hooked up to a microphone and speakers, attendees were given an insight into how the first team coach communicates with his players. After each stoppage, Ed would offer advice and break down each individual play to analyse the rights and wrongs of each movement, save and decisions made by each keeper.

The session was then followed by a ‘Q and A’, where Ed offered further insight into his day-to-day role, as well as sharing some advice to parents of aspiring, young keepers.

This returning session marks the first of many more to come – so if you may be interested in attending one of our free sessions in the future, you can be added to our mailing list by contacting us here.

FC Live is our free coach development series, supporting grassroots coaches within Norfolk, supported by Norfolk County Council Adult Learning.

It continues to provide local coaches with unique access to current topics of conversation from within the game, and previous guests have included MK Dons Manager and ex-City ace Russell Martin and Club Sporting Director Stuart Webber.

Places for these events are free, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
