Fifteen teams tee off for fourth annual charity golf day

Sixty golfers joined Dean Ashton for the fourth annual Community Sports Foundation (CSF) Charity Golf Day yesterday which was held at The Marriott Sprowston Manor.

The event raised over £3000 for the Foundation which will help to support disabled and disadvantaged people across Norfolk.

Players were treated to bacon rolls and a free gift bag on arrival and after a warm welcome from former Norwich City FC striker and CSF Ambassador Dean Ashton, the fifteen teams took to the fairways for a shotgun start.

As well as the main 18-hole Texas Scramble format competition, there were several other course challenges to take part in throughout the day including the longest drive, Nearest the pin and Beat the Pro.

“It was a marvellous day, the sun didn’t stop shining and everyone enjoyed the golf and the chance to support the charity.

“I am delighted with how much we have raised and with some wonderful support from our sponsors we have hosted another charitable day where everyone has had a good time.

“Thank you to Dean for being such an excellent host once again. I’d also like to thank Sprowston Manor Golf Club for their fantastic hospitality plus all the businesses and hole sponsors that backed the event and made it possible including main sponsors Fisher Healthcare Training.”
