Foundation delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Kerr
The Community Sports Foundation (CSF) are pleased to announce and welcome Mark Kerr to the Board of Trustees.
Currently the Health and Safety Group Manager for Broadland Housing Association, Mark joins the Foundation with a host of experience and knowledge, as the new Health and Safety lead.
His previous roles include Operations Manager at Bluespace Limited, Head of Facilities and Health & Safety at Metropolitan Housing Partnership and Accommodation Manager at University of East Anglia.
Mark has an extensive knowledge of the Foundation given his son’s involvement in the Boys’ Football Programme and Player Development Centre. He said:
“It is a privilege to join the Community Sports Foundation as a trustee. How the team has expanded since my first experiences of ‘Football in the Community’ at Pinebanks is a great credit to all the staff involved. I have first-hand experience of the programmes they provided, both as a parent and a football coach.
“I am looking forward to Phase 1 of The Nest opening, it is going to be a wonderful sporting hub for our region. I am really very pleased to be part of the CSF team, that will provide opportunities and help people of all ages to realise their potential.”
CSF’s Ian Thornton commented:
“We are delighted and privileged to have Mark join our Board of Trustees. He is passionate about the work that we do and his extensive knowledge and experience will be essential in helping us reach our goal of supporting more of the participants who engage with our programmes.”
“We are very grateful for the support Mark has already given to our Operations department, in the development and recruitment of our new Compliance Manager.
“With our on-going development of The Nest and the paramount importance of participant safety, Mark will be an excellent support to CSF, with the help of the other trustees.”
A big warm CSF welcome to Mark who joins recent appointees Raffi Coverdale and Genie Barham.
