Canary Cup 2023

Last week The Nest played host to four days of football festivities featuring development teams representing our fellow CCOs from across England.

Teams from Premier League, Football League and Non-League clubs from across the country enjoyed Canary Cup action on The Nest’s grass & 3G pitches.

The week kicked off on Sunday 13th of August with the Disability Canary Cup, featuring sides from Manchester United, Manchester City, MK Dons, Aston Villa, West Brom, Brighton, Wolves and our own Norwich City.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday then saw boys’ development teams from ages U9 to U14 compete for Canary Cup silverware.

Other visiting teams during the week included; Watford CSEYork City Foundation, King’s Lynn Elite – Alive West NorfolkColchester FITCQPR in the CommunityShrewsbury Foundation and Russell Martin Foundation.

Thank you to all of the teams who turned up and participated in the week’s festivities and a special mention to Brighton, who won four out of the seven tournaments throughout the week!
