Pre-Event Support

Once you’ve signed up for Cycle Swarm you won’t be on your own! The team at the Foundation will be in touch regularly to help you every step of the way. From providing tips and resources to boost your fundraising efforts to sharing tailored training guidance, we’re here to ensure you feel fully prepared and supported.

Event Support

On the big day itself, you will be supported by an army of amazing volunteers and staff! We have numerous mechanics and rest areas, with refreshments, along both routes to ensure you can access any assistance and sustenance when required.

The routes will also be well sign posted so you don’t have to worry about getting lost.

Parking at the stadium will cost £5 and every penny will go to the Community Sports Foundation.

You can purchase parking when you sign up, but hurry – spaces are limited!

The kit list is anything and everything you normally have on a cycle!

A bike and helmet are an absolute must (we hope this is self-explanatory).

You may bring any other accessories at your discretion, such as a gel seat, padded cycling shorts, hydration or energy gels – whatever makes you comfortable!

While it’s not essential, we recommend you bring a puncture repair kit, inner-tube, and a multi tool to get yourself out of trouble.

We would advise that you build up your training with regular medium-distance cycles, progressing to longer distances. While it’s great to get into the gym and use a turbo bike, we recommend getting outdoors at every opportunity!

Cycling sections of the route in the build-up to the challenge is also very useful; you’ll experience different surfaces and inclines that you will encounter en route.

  • A medal for your achievement
  • Clearly sign-posted routes
  • Mechanics on the route in case you need assistance or repairs
  • Rest areas where you can stop and fill up on free refreshments
  • Emergency pick up if you can’t finish

The Community Sports Foundation uses the power of sport to support and inspire our community. Our charitable objectives are to:

  • drive inclusion for people with disabilities
  • boosting mental health and wellbeing
  • and supporting disadvantaged people to raise their aspirations

Signing up to one of our fundraising events will support our efforts to drive inclusion for people with disabilities across Norfolk. Our life-changing provisions include:

Your support will impact thousands of children and adults. Help us to change lives in Norfolk.

Thank you.

"Thank you for another well organised event, the route was well planned, and the ride was very enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back next year.
