Teacher Training

Developing skill sets of staff in both football and multi-skills

As part of our schools programme, during the academic year we provide various opportunities for local teachers to access additional continued professional development.

Football in the National Curriculum

Teachers spend the day at Carrow Park, discovering how to effectively deliver football as part of the national curriculum.

The morning is spent looking at how football can fit into the national curriculum and how skills taught can match with the National Curriculum level descriptors. The afternoon session is spent practically exploring skills and techniques across topics such as sending, receiving, travelling and control.

Multi-Skills Delivery

This is a course predominantly aimed at those delivering physical education within Key Stages 1 and 2.

Primary teachers spend the day exploring the fundamental movement skills of agility, balance and coordination and how they can be delivered in a school setting. Understand how to develop simple throwing and catching skills during the early days of child development and how to adapt and select equipment accordingly.
