NCS Seasonal Team Leader

Programme Overview

A government funded programme delivered locally by Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, the National Citizen Service (NCS) provides young people aged 15 to 17 the opportunity to take part in residential camps and volunteering projects in their local community, including:

Phase One: Adventure- A residential visit to an outdoor activity centre to develop team-building, leadership and communication skills, whilst undertaking challenges and stepping outside of their comfort zone.

Phase Two: Skills- Also a residential, this is a programme of workshops and activities designed to develop life skills and community awareness.

Phase Three: Social Action Planning and delivery of a social action project of their group’s choice based in their local community. The activities of NCS are focused to allow young people to make new friends and raise awareness of the community around them, whilst preparing them for their next steps in life.

Phase Four: Run Norwich & Graduation

Role specific responsibilities

• To deliver a high-quality experience.

• To ensure the safety of all participants and colleagues at all times.

• To represent the Foundation at Run Norwich.

• To work evenings and overnight stays.


• Lead and deliver on NCS programme as instructed by NCS Project Officer.

• Assist with organisation and delivery of NCS graduation events.

Desirable Qualifications

• Driving Licence

• Basic First Aid (Must be obtained before start date)

• Safeguarding Children Workshop (Must be obtained before start date)

Community Sports Coach

We are searching for a new member of our community coaching team, who has a great desire to make a difference within the local community through sport.

Our detailed training programme will upskill already qualified coaches to help reach their potential with the Foundation.

We have minimum qualification requirements for those who wish to be part of our paid coaching team, however we will work with and develop the right people starting within our volunteer programme.

Minimum and desirable qualifications are:

  • Level 1 in a specific sport
  • Level 2 or higher in a specific sport
  • Mixture of sports coaching qualification in different sports
  • Emergency First Aid Certification
  • Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • Advanced Criminal Records Bureau check

Goalkeeping Coach

We are searching for additional goalkeeping coaches to get involved in a wide range of goalkeeping sessions. Our goalkeeping programme ranges from ages 6-18, both male and female including ability levels from grassroots to elite standard. We currently have 10 different venues where we deliver goalkeeping coaching across Norfolk and Suffolk.

If you are looking to take your grassroots coaching a little further, change your career or top up your current salary with some additional hours, then this could be your next career move.

Candidate essential:

  • Be available during the evenings or weekends
  • Full & Clean Driving Licence
  • FA Level 1 Goalkeeping Coach

Dance Coaches

Mini Bus Drivers

We are looking to recruit reliable, responsible volunteers to drive our 16 seater minibuses on a casual basis, starting immediately. The position involves driving participants on our programmes to and from different fixtures and will be based in Norfolk primarily. Working hours will be flexible and could include evenings and weekends, exclusive perks will be available for successful applicants. A full, clean D1 category driving licence is essential.
