Sporting Light Appeal at Man Utd

Ground collection, shirt auction and half time presentation

Norwich City Football Club will be lending its support to the Community Sports Foundation’s Sporting Light Appeal on Sunday at the Canaries’ home fixture with Manchester United.

City fans will have the chance to bid on signed Sporting Light Appeal t-shirts, worn by the players during Sunday’s warm up, via the club’s eBay site from next week.

Around 50 volunteers have also come forward, following an appeal last week, to help CSF with ground collections outside Carrow Road; volunteers will be wearing Sporting Light Appeal t-shirts and giving out information to fans about the appeal and the work that CSF does in the community.

At half time, a handful of Sporting Light Appeal Business Champions, who have chosen CSF as their charity of the year, will be presented to the crowd and will have their picture taken on the pitch with CSF ambassador Paul McVeigh, who himself takes part in a skydive for the appeal on Saturday.

The Community Sports Foundation is the official charity partner of Norwich City Football Club and the Sporting Light Appeal aims to make a difference to disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk by raising money, so that CSF can keep providing opportunities for participation in sport and other vital services.
