City stars visit CSF Soccer Schools

Surprise treat for youngsters

Children at four Soccer School venues received a special surprise last week, when their sessions were visited by Norwich City FC first-team players and staff.

Steven Whittaker, Graham Dorrans and Wes Hoolahan visited the Community Sports Foundation’s (CSF) Soccer Schools in Norwich, Taverham and Martham whilst City manager Alex Neil took a trip to North Walsham.

Following a few passing drills, the players took part in small-sided games with the youngsters before joining them for group photographs and autographs.

In North Walsham, Alex Neil presented the participants with their course completion medals and took part in a Q&A session where he gave the young Canary fans an insight into what it is like to be the City boss.

CSF Community Coach Jon Abbott said:

“The week’s visits gave the children the chance to meet and play alongside some of their heroes, hopefully this will inspire them to keep working hard on their football skills.

“A huge thank you to the players and Alex for attending the sessions.”
