Three Peaks Challenge 2024

6th-8th June 2024

Conquer the Three Peaks Challenge and help support disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk.

During this challenge you’ll tackle the highest mountain in the UK, starting with Ben Nevis, before travelling to Scafell Pike in England’s Lake District, concluding with Mount Snowdon in Wales.

What will you get?

For any queries or enquiries, contact us at [email protected]

The National Three Peaks is one of the most popular mountaineering challenges in the UK, conquering each of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales respectively. Expect breath-taking scenery and testing conditions as you tackle the rocky and steep ascents to the coveted peaks.

Ben Nevis – The Mountain Track

Scaffle Pike – Brown Tung Path

Snowdon – Pyg Track up, and Llanberis Path down

Each sub-team will be guided by at least two volunteer team leaders, who will have maps, GPS and radios linking them to the other sub-teams and our support minibuses.

The minibuses will transport you between the peaks and be at each mountain’s start and finish points. The team will prepare hot/cold drinks and snacks for you and transfer your luggage along with supporting any other requests you may have.

The entry fee is £325 (which covers all transport and accommodation) with a further agreement to raise a minimum of £300.

This cost is based on sharing a twin room – a single supplement can be provided at an additional cost.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required on booking.

Further payments can then be made in 3 instalments of £75.

We have a number of rewards to help encourage you with your fundraising, including:

  • Raise £200 – Photo signed by a Norwich City FC player
  • Raise £350 – 2 x ground tour tickets
  • Raise £450 – Norwich City FC pennant signed by the first team
  • Raise £600 – 2 x Norwich City FC match day tickets (game choice subject to availability)
  • Raise £700 – Norwich City FC football signed by the first team
  • Raise £800 – Norwich City FC shirt signed by the first team
  • Raise £1,500 – Signed & framed Norwich City FC shirt
  • Raise £2,500 – 2 x Norwich City FC match day hospitality tickets (game choice subject to availability)

We will hold an information evening in May at The Nest. The date will be communicated to all our participants nearer the time.

The evening is a chance to meet our team leaders and other walkers, talk through key information, and gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Walkers will stay in hotel accommodation on day one. The cost of the event is based on two people sharing a twin room. If there is anyone you’d like to share with please let us know.

Single rooms are available, subject to a supplement payment. If this is something you’d like, please let us know so we can get this booked ASAP.

  • Walking Boots – if they a new, these will need to be worn in
  • Good socks – We’d recommend a new pair for each mountain
  • Rucksack – We recommend day sack size (20 to 30 litres) as you’ll be able to replace items between each mountain
  • Walking poles – optional, we suggest training with these to make sure you’re comfortable with them
  • Water bladder – recommended as they carry more water than a bottle and are easier to use
  • Layers – We recommend new base layers at least for each mountain
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Warm, comfy clothes – for bus rides between mountains
  • Flips flops or sliders
  • Sun cream
  • Gloves
  • Sun hat and warm hat
  • Head torch – Essential, as you’ll be walking through the night.
  • Personal medical equipment

Each walker will be provided with a challenge t-shirt. You may need to invest in kit and equipment. We recommend visiting Go Outdoors, as you will be eligible for charity discount on most purchases.

Sadly, we aren’t blessed with mountains in Norfolk, so the best training is to do mid/long distance walks. We recommend 5-to-6-hour walks, to mirror the time spent on each mountain.

We encourage our participants to go on group walks prior to the challenge to get to know each other.

We will also provide you with some training plans and walks to get you started. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to email us, and we’ll do our very best to support you!
