Boys' PDC
Giving players with advanced ability the opportunity to succeed
The CSF Player Development Centre programme is strictly invitational-only initiative which is open to advanced players to develop them as individuals and improve the standard of local football.
The Centres are held locally in Norwich, Lowestoft, Kings Lynn, Wymondham, Thetford, Cromer and Gorleston as well as a specific Goalkeeping Centre in Norwich for players from under-6 to under-15 levels. All sessions are delivered by fully qualified CSF coaches who work to a specifically designed technical program which is age related with the main emphasis on development.
Players involved in the Player Development Centres may have the opportunity to be selected to represent the PDC against other professional opposition such as Colchester United, Ipswich Town and Cambridge United as well opportunities to play against the Norwich City FC Academy.
The Player Development Centre program looks to:
- Provide an enjoyable, safe and secure learning environment;
- Improve the players technical ability;
- Compliment the player's current football provision (ie. club football);
- Provide high quality coaching sessions through a developed technical program;
- Progress players into the Norwich City FC Academy;
- Increase the standard of football they may play at later in life;
- Provide relevant feedback, both verbal and written;
- Provide games / match opportunities for selected players;
- Show patience and understanding towards the players learning style and physical developments.
