One Big Summer
Three weeks - one big challenging experience
After a successful pilot in 2011, The National Citizen Service for outgoing Year 11s is now recruiting for its second year. The scheme will run again in Norfolk as One Big Summer, and will be delivered by several partner organisations led once again by CSF.
Young people have the chance to sign up for a memorable experience which includes the chance to make a difference to their local communities with volunteering work, making new friends on residential camps and learning new skills.
CSF and its partners will deliver the programme, in conjunction with the Football League Trust, to 120 young people in two groups; the first in July and the second in August, with each group taking part in a residential camp out of Norfolk, a residential camp in Norfolk and a week of voluntary community work.
Finally, in September, all participants will be invited to a presentation evening to celebrate their achievements on the programme.
Are you interested in a summer of fun including water based sports and high wire activities, teamwork, confidence building and the satisfaction of completing volunteering work in your local area to enhance your CV?
Places are limited so don't delay! The cost of the programme is £50 and bursaries are available for participants if necessary.
For more information, contact Paul or Darren in the CSF office on 01603 761122 or by email.
