Sportasaurus
About our mascot
In far, far away Dinosaurland, a large egg lay waiting to hatch in a dinosaurs' nest, with Mummy and Daddy Dinosaur sat patiently by its side awaiting the arrival of their new baby...
Crack! As the shell begian to break, the expectant parents huddled closer to take a look. As it did, they saw tiny feet, a long spikey tail and three pointy horns. "Awww, he looks just like his father," said Mummy Dinosaur.
Within weeks, the new arrival was running around and into everything, bouncing a ball, swinging off branches, jumping over rocks and playing games with the older dinosaurs. "He's so sporty," said Daddy Dinosaur. "Then that's what we shall call him - Sportasaurus," added Mummy Dinosaur.
Over time, it became obvious that Sportasaurus was no normal dinosaur, and that there just wasn’t enough in Dinosaurland to keep him entertained.
"What shall we do with Sportasaurus? I've never seen a dinosaur with so much energy!" asked Mummy Dinosaur. "What about the team at Norwich City Community Sports Foundation? They provide lots of activities and see thousands of children for Sportasaurus to play with," explained Daddy Dinosaur.
So it was decided Sportasaurus would live with the CSF team at Carrow Road, spending time visiting and playing sport with children across Norfolk and north Suffolk.
And in case you haven't guessed, I'm Sportasaurus, and this is my story! It'm really excited about being here, so I hope you'll come and play and give me lots of new adventures!
